Dr. Luz Bay is a proud mother, a Filipino immigrant, a three-time breast cancer survivor, and a finisher of 25 marathons. With a Masters in Mathematics and a Doctorate in Educational Measurement and Statistics, Luz’s entire career has been built on analyzing complex data to find out what works and what doesn't. As a two-term State Representative, she doesn't guess when it comes to policy—she looks at the numbers. At the same time she’s led with her values: as a pro-choice Catholic, as a mother to two successful adult children, and as the middle child of fourteen brothers and sisters, she knows those numbers tie back to real people. People too often struggling to pay a bill, find work, or care for those they love. She is ready to bring that diagnostic eye, unshakeable grit, and personal values to the Executive Council.

It holds the checkbook for our government, responsible for approving or denying every contract over $10,000, confirming judicial appointments, and shaping our local infrastructure. With billions of taxpayer dollars on the line, we need an uncorruptible firewall who answers only to our neighbors and never to well-connected lobbyists, corporate special interests, or petty politics.
